SHB Trans B.V., Witboom 1, 4131 PL Vianen, Netherlands, is the controller for personal data collected through this site. You can reach us at [email protected] or +31 85 048 2680.
What we collect
The quote and application form asks for your name, email address, and a message. Phone number, company name and the subject of the enquiry are optional except where the form marks them as required. If you apply for a role we also store the opening you named. We keep the IP address of a submission to help stop spam.
Why we use it
We use this data to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, or handle a job application. That is a legitimate interest in running a transport company, and, where you ask us to carry freight or consider you for a role, steps toward a contract. We do not sell this data and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and bots
The site sets a small number of cookies it cannot work without: one to keep your session, one to protect the contact form against forgery, and one to remember the choice you make here. If spam protection is switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile may also run in your browser. The map of our depot on the contact and coverage pages is loaded from Google and sets Google's own cookies as soon as the page opens. Everything else is optional and stays off until you say otherwise. The table below lists every cookie, who sets it, and how long it lasts.
| Cookie | Set by | Category | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| shb-trans-session | SHB Trans B.V. | Strictly necessary | Keeps you attached to the right session as you move between pages. | 2 hours |
| XSRF-TOKEN | SHB Trans B.V. | Strictly necessary | Proves a form was submitted from this site, and not by someone else on your behalf. | 2 hours |
| shb_consent | SHB Trans B.V. | Strictly necessary | Remembers the choice you made here, so we do not ask again on every page. | 6 months |
| cf_chl_* | Cloudflare | Strictly necessary | Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on the contact form that tells a person from a script. | 30 minutes |
| NID, SOCS, CONSENT | Google Maps | Strictly necessary | Set by Google when the embedded map of our depot loads on the contact and coverage pages. | Up to 2 years |
| _ga, _ga_XT1BHW3ZDV | Google Analytics | Analytics | Counts visits and tells a returning visitor from a new one. Only set once you accept analytics. | Up to 2 years |
| ph_*_posthog | PostHog | Analytics | Recognises a browser across pages, so one visit is counted once rather than page by page. Only set once you accept analytics. | 1 year |
Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics and PostHog to count visits and see which pages get read, so we can fix the ones that are not working. PostHog runs on its European servers, so that data stays inside the EU. Google Analytics is set up for measurement only: ad storage, ad personalisation and Google Signals are switched off, so your visit is never used to build an advertising profile, and session recording is off. We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, and nothing is loaded until you give it. Withdrawing is a single click from the cookie settings link in the footer and takes effect straight away.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are kept for as long as we need them to handle the job and our records, and are deleted automatically after 24 months at the latest. Applications are kept for the hiring round, and a short period after if we may have a later opening, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it, and you can object to our legitimate-interest processing. Write to [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands.
